Lions, Tigers, and Bears Oh My!

Well today we made the 30min ride to McClelland's Critters Zoo! It was a great trip again and this time I got to play with a few more critters! Got to hold an alligator and play with a lion cub! Rather do that than have a snake on my neck! Was a great time out there with friends, but boy was it hot!!

Week 1 completed!

Well another first week in college is now complete. Was needing a break from my online class that i have worked on last night and some today so thought this would be a good time for an update. This week has been filled with: pancakes, step tease, Quad Bash, game nights, fan day, cooking, workouts with friends, laughs, rainy days and homework complete also. I love being here in Troy it feels like home and that is how i know that this is where i am meant to be. I love the city and the school and just how beautiful it is. Things are slowly starting to get busier each day. With being an officer in the Sport Management Club and getting it all kicked off these next few weeks. We have one of our big events coming up in September that we are working on. Two weeks from today we will have our first home game! And then soccer will be starting soon and they are getting there name around, and its not for that you would think. They are hosting something called Project 19. This is an event starting to take off rather quick that is centered around a player Kailani Decock. She is battling Hodgkin's Lymphoma. So they are raising awareness and trying to raise money. No One Fights Alone is written on purple silicon bands that you see every athlete wearing around campus and that others will soon be able to purchase. And yes for those who have wondered I have been trying to get back in the swing of cooking. Stuffed Peppers, Grilled Chicken, Zucchini and Squash, Edamame spinach and egg white salad. So it is all going good and need to catch up on this homework and get it over with!!!!

Settling

Well life in good ole little Troy feels like i am just picking up where i left off at. I feel like i have never left and that these few days here before classes is just like I'm living with friends and going to their houses and that life is great. I guess thats a sign you are at the right college when you pick up where you left off and miss the people you are used to seeing all the time. Well these few days have been spent by reorganizing my room, seeing friends, Walmart trips (you always are going to Walmart in Troy), and trying to prepare for the busy week ahead. I am excited for this year and the things that God has in store for me. The roommates and I have gotten along, it is just some awkward silences sometimes. Just gonna take time and getting to know them more. I have gotten more sun in the one day at the pool compared to my summer at home! So I'm sure that won't happen anymore once classes get started! But pool, cooking with friends, game night, and many laughs are a good start to this senior year.

New Adventures

Well its that time of the year again to begin again in Troy, this year i am at a new apartment and new roommates. This place wasn't furnished so 12 hours later i have a place i am going to be calling home till May. We don't have the living room finished yet so that picture i will post later. I am currently signed up for 4 classes in the classroom and then one online till October and then add another online till December. So that will make 6 for this semester. Senior year its crazy to think about it. But this year is full of so many adventures and fun times ahead!

Coming to a Close......

Well Summer of 2013 is only days away from being over for me. I have had my last day at work and am trying to work on moving in earlier than my original date. In exactly a week I will be starting my Senior Year in college. Wow, that sounds so weird to me and I can say that I have no clue exactly what I want to do with me life. I have a few ideas but that is all they are right now. I am excited to get back and see all my friends and my new roommates. I am at a different place than last year and this place isn't furnished so it is time to get my new adventure all set up. This year I have a new mind set and have a year under my belt and know my way around better. Taking 15 hours this fall and starting on my Exercise Science Minor so that is going to provide some challenging classes. But as long as i stay determined it will all work out! New adventures will happen and friendships will be made stronger and new ones will be made. Im excited to get back to writing about my life here on my blog! So stay tuned for more to come!!
