On the Go!

Well this weekend was a little busy but for once was not spent just studying for school! On Friday night we celebrated Granny and Grandaddy's 50th wedding anniversary! It was a good day for her with everything that has been going on. Then Saturday Heaven came by to  earn some money for Camp O' Pines! She is getting close and is so excited to be able to work and get "paid" in money for camp. Rewarded by helping Bubs out it was lunch at Whataburger (her choosing). Then Dads birthday is today! Great day for him to relax for once! I was blessed to be able to visit some of my Troy friends today. A lot of time of the road today! I have missed these girls soooo much! Thankful that God has blessed me with great girls like these. I don't know who was more excited today me or them! Ready for another busy week at work, day road trip to Troy and a busy 4th of July! Hope that everyone is enjoying their "summer" and taking advantage of living in a place where most people vacation! Always a good season to people watch or play pick out the tourist!!

So Close

If you remember I told y'all I would be taking 10 credit hours this summer with classes and well thank goodness but they are almost over. 9 hours in the summer is considered full time and well i have considered full time and working. So i am ready for a break with school and time to relax. I have been stressed out these last few weeks with classes and no sleep and trying to keep the grades up. I have finished with two of the classes and Tuesday i have a final and group presentation (prayers accepted then) and all i have left is my online class. So then i will have a little time left to try and relax and prepare for my next year at Troy and to try to get things together for my new apartment there! Hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the summer, i mean got to love this heat and summer showers!!

No sleep, but making memories

This past Thursday night till this morning I was blessed to complete my 4th year chaperoning the 4&5th grade camp for our church! This is always a great time to back away from the stress life is giving me and just have some fun and memories with these kids. Its always special as I look back and am  able to watch these students grow up in the church and see the wonderful things that they do for Christ! This year our numbers were a little down but that did not stop us from making memories. I had 8 girls and we successfully scared some of the boys the last night(morning @1 am) and to experience the time to be a mommy with having one of my girls getting sick so stayed up late and i think i got about 1.5 hours of sleep! So this afternoon I'm dragging a little bit! But I am so thankful for the opportunity to be able to serve and work with the other chaperones! Great people, great food always and certain ones continue to carry out as traditions (taco eating contests and recently biscuits and chocolate gravy!) the kids always make this time a blast and i love it because its a change to give back to the church like it has given me so many things!

1 pint less

Today the church was doing the annual blood drive that they always have. Last week I told dad that we should do it and he said okay, it will give a reason to go and eat a good breakfast before church! So we are one pint down today after donating!

Diamonds a girls best friend

Well this summer I was fortunate to be able to make it to one game at GP to watch some of the girls i used to coach play! and i was great to be back on the field and to watch them play again. In my books diamonds are a girls best friend, just filled with a little clay and grass:)
