One Day Closer

So this weekend I found out that I officially have two roommates now! That is a huge relief taken off my shoulders. I have been praying about my roommates since January, and God has answered that prayer. A week from Tuesday I will be moving into my new apartment and start putting pieces together to a place that will be home for the next 9 months. A place where I will cook,clean, be on my own. A big step into this big old world. But I am ready for this new chapter God has set before me and I trust in Him in all that He is doing. Jeremiah 29:11

The Guy in the Glass

Someone very special told me about this poem and since then it has been close to my heart. It always makes you take a step back and think about "fles"

The Guy In The Glass

When you get what you want in your struggle for pelf,
And the world makes you King for a day,
Then go to the mirror and look at yourself,
And see what that guy has to say.

For it isn't your Father or Mother or Wife,
Who judgement upon you must pass.
The feller whose verdict counts most in your life
Is the guy staring back from the glass.

He's the feller to please, never mind all the rest,
For he's with you clear up to the end,
And you've passed your most dangerous, difficult test
If the guy in the glass is your friend.

You may be like Jack Horner and "chisel" a plum,
And think you're a wonderful guy,
But the man in the glass says you're only a bum
If you can't look him straight in the eye.

You can fool the whole world down the pathway of years,
And get pats on the back as you pass,
But your final reward will be heartaches and tears
If you've cheated the guy in the glass

Sister

Well thanks to my sister I have officially set up my blog for my home away from home! I feel like this is going to be the easiest way to be able to keep in touch with everyone and anyone. Im going to do my best to keep this updated with all of my wonderful adventures that Troy holds for me!
