Sailing away

Last month I got a phone call from a friend on a Tuesday that said Hey want to go on a cruise? We leave on Friday, so here I am today with many memories and lots of laughs from that trip! I went with one of my closest friends from Troy and her family. We left out of Tampa to go to Grand Cayman then to Cozumel! While in the Caymans, we went snorkeling over the Barrier Reefs, which was really cool to do. We were like 1-2 feet over the reefs while snorkeling, i was worried a few times i may touch the reef and didn't want that to happen and kill it! The water here was so beautiful and blue! I was so amazing with the water and then the reefs. The water was extremely salty, salt water had a completely new meaning. Then when we went to Cozumel we went snorkeling again and clear kayaking! Looking down while kayaking you could see so many fish. In 2005 Hurricane Wilma changed the area that we were at. The land is not longer available for people to fish at and the water is not as blue close to land anymore because of all the sand that was washed into the water for about 200 yards. Did a little bit of free diving here and enjoyed just being in the water. After we finished here we ate some authentic Mexican food also. Of course we did some shopping after we finished the excursion, especially since there is is tax-free! The time on the boat was spent at the pools, playing bingo, getting a massage, attempting to play putt-putt in 40mph winds, and eating all the time! The trip was a lot of fun and I enjoyed getting to know more of her family and just laughing and making memories along the way!
