This past weekend I got to watch my cousin finally say I Do, to someone who we all love and have welcomed with open arms to the family. I am so happy for the two of them and their new adventure that they will start together. My aunt put in longggg days and nights these past 6 months to get everything done and make it the best wedding! It was a beautiful wedding, i am not sure if anything could have been done any better! So happy for Ryan and Meredith!!

1 week, 3 states!
Well this past week was a very busy one to say the least, from Atlanta to Troy to Tallahassee back to Troy! Started the week off in Atlanta all day monday, basically got back home at 3 am and prepared to study for a test that morning. Got to attend a career expo, tour Georgia States athletic facilities and then attend the Jets vs Falcons NFL game. Was here and there in Troy the rest of the week and then off to Tally for the weekend to see the sister. Well friday night it was not Tallanasty thanks to the one and only Luke Bryan being there! Great time at that concert and then on Saturday afternoon we ran the Color Me Rad event! So very busy two days there. Now it is back to reality. Finished one online class last week and not to start another one tomorrow! Hope that everyone is doing well! Made from Scratch with Love
Well after a tough race today for my roommate me and my other roommate decided we would bake her a cake. So i said lets go to the store and get some cake mix. She said, oh no we will bake one from scratch and the icing also! So that is what we did! Made a chocolate cake with whipped cream cheese coco icing. She was really excited when she came home. Its the small things that matter in life. Not always about who has the most money or the latest trends. Its the things that people do for others when they maybe feeling discouraged or down in the dumps. A hand written letter, not of encouragement, a card, a simple phone call, can make someones day. We live in an age that we send text message instead of picking up the phone, an email instead of a hand written letter. We have lost the value in the small things in life that take up the most room in our hearts. As Winnie the Pooh once said: "Sometimes the smallest things take up the biggest things in your heart!" Im very thankful for all the small things in little ole Troy that have taken up big places in my heart! This year has been going better than i ever could have expected it to be, yes I'm going with classes and going to be very crazy these next months to come as i get ready to graduate and move on to the next chapter in my life. But God is in control and will let whatever needs to happen to help guide His plan.

Tailgates and Tan lines!
Last weekend I went back at it with Troy Football! Started off my Saturday off with going to a "friendly" (scrimmage non season game) for the Rugby team here at Troy! We lost in the last 15seconds of the game. Now thanks to a guy last year who did a whole presentation on it, I was able to somewhat follow the game. But the season kicks off at the end of this month and will be going back to more games, since i know some of the guys on the team. Then we did our first Tailgate with the Sport Management Club, nothing special especially since this was the first one. They just designated a new Tailgate area behind our stadium for students, which mainly consist of Greek organizations. But it was a good time. Then to the football game that Troy was projected to win by 50, but ended up winning 66-3. Yeah was a true fan and stayed for the whole game! Monday was another football game for inter murals, and once again I managed to scrape up my leg pretty good, but the bright side its the same one I always hurt. Then that night SFM Club hosted an event called Chalk Talk, where students and community and who ever could come to an open forum event and talk to the coaches and ask question to them .All the fall coaches were involved with this one. Project 19 is going great still and finally got my bracelet and waiting for my shirt to come in any day! Somethings to look forward to in later post: Luke Bryan concert and Color Me Rad 5k! You don't want to miss that!

Soak up the Sun
This past weekend was the annual Sunset Harbor trip we make every Labor day with many friends. The weather was off and on but that didn't stop us from having a good time, good food and great memories. We lost power for a few hours, and I caught one of the strikes that caused that to happen. Was crazy how the before, during, and then after the storm looked over the water. Didn't get to take a full break with have online class and tests this week it required me to do some studying. Watched the Troy game online kinda, with the victory in Overtime and then got to watch Matt with his first start against McNeese State. Got to see Desiree and Katie to end the weekend. The picture describes our friendship in a nutshell. We are in 3 different places but when we get together it is always a blast! Never a dull moment with us! This week is going to be a very busy week, but wouldn't want it any other way!
